Thanks for checking back... I am currently serving in Guagueyvo, Mexico. God has called me to continue to serve here till spring of 2023. I feel blessed to be able to do domestic duties, as well as, teach my nieces so David and Rosene can do more language learning. Blessings to you, as you serve where God has called you!
Here is the team that is serving among the Tarahumara Indians.

"Every time I check on Danelle's blog the last few months nothing has changed" is that what you are thinking. Well, there is a reason for that. The Lord has called me to serve in Mexico from January 2021 till spring of 2022. So yes, it will be pretty quiet on here the next year. I wished I would have not ran out of time before leaving for Mexico that I could have blogged every session carefully. Here a few of sessions I took last fall. I was not able to get every session so sorry if I didn't include your session.
My excitement grew as I met the beaming bride & groom, Brittany and Taylor, at White Chimneys. Brittany carried a gorgeous bouquet, and Taylor walked by her side gazing into her beautiful blue eyes. The sunrise cast some warm tones to their skin, as we started the session. I had met them earlier this year for their engagement and knew TODAY was going to be wonderful!. Even though it was a little chilly, they relaxed and we had a lovely time. The bride maid"s dresses were a navy adding to the already elegant, classy wedding. There was also a little pink here and there throughout the details. I had a wonderful time throughout the whole day, knowing this was my last wedding to photograph before leaving on a mission trip to Mexico.
We did a few bridal party photos and then enjoyed a lot of fun family photos
After the ceremony, we were served a very delicious meal.
Thanks Taylor & Brittany for asking me to photograph your beautiful wedding day. May God bless your life together.
I was so delighted when I got a call from Krista. She was excited to tell me she is engaged! And would I be willing to photograph them so they have some portraits to hand out to family and friends when the announce their engagement. We met at Overlook Park, and found a field of goldenrod. It was such a perfect evening and Devon & Krista were just beaming!!
I am so excited for your journey together and knowing God has great plans for you.
Meet tiny, little Evan. He was a photographer's dream baby. He didn't mind how much you moved him, or what position you put him in.
Family sessions are in full swing right now. So I tend to not post a lot of them since most want to hand cards out for the holidays. Here is a session of a small, sweet family from this summer.
I was so delighted when Beverly booked their first anniversary session with me. I had photographed their wedding and had o so much fun with them. I was not one bit disappointed. Even though, we had to reschedule three times due to the weather, the evening we chose was perfect. I loved every moment of our evening together. Bryan and Beverly were such a fun loving couple to be with.
Meet Nevin & Elaine Horning and family
I am so grateful to have captured these family moments for you. As you face so many unknowns and the future looks huge, my prayer is that God will walk beside you and give you peace.
Lester & Edna Faye Burkholder
It was great seeing all my cousins. I felt honored to capture these precious moments for you.
I am back with photos of this beautiful couple. From the time I met them for their engagement session till I walked out of the wedding reception, I was blessed to be a part of their lives at these important moments. Brent and Kandra were such a sweet couple. The love between them was so beautiful, and shown in such quiet sweet ways. I love her colors! Wow, did those flower bouquets stand out against the bride and bride maid's dresses. The details were amazing. One of my faves, were the cakes with fresh fruit laid on top. Thank you Brent and Kandra to give me the opportunity to photograph your wedding day. Blessings to you, as you bless the world around you with your marriage.
I am excited to photograph this couple's wedding in a week.
I met Stephen & Rochelle the morning of their wedding at a place in Weaverland, PA. I was delighted to do their wedding photos! I have gone to church with Rochelle for years, and Stephen is my cousin. So all in all we knew each other well. It was cloudy, but the clouds were not to low. It gave us opportunity to be out in the open. Stephen & Rochelle were calm and relaxed all morning. It was great to see your whole families together, since you each have some siblings out of state. Amanda, took the reception photos, since I was attending another wedding.
I am excited to introduce to you, Jared & Sherri. We met them at Pool Forge Park. The morning started out fairly foggy. As a photographer, we don't mind a little fog but there is something like to much fog that it takes away from the photos. The fog did get worse before getting better. So I was delighted once the sun started peeking through. Jared & Sherri, I enjoyed being part of your special day. Your love, giggles, and caring ways were so sweet to see. Thanks for asking us to capture your wedding portraits for you.
Reception
Jolin & Lexianne are an amazing couple. We met at Ephrata Township Park. It was very foggy Saturday morning. I love the sparkle in their eyes, their big smiles, and their love and respect for each other. The bridal party joined us a while later. Till time for family pictures the fog was lifting, so we did snap a few more of Jolin & Lexi. We headed back to the bride's house for a beautiful ceremony & reception.
It was a pleasure to be part of your wedding, Jolin & Lexi. May the Lord bless your marriage.
These adorable children, I get to call my niece and nephews. Love my family! Eva, three months already! I just love her hair and clear blue eyes.
Boys, Boys, Boys!! love the outdoors!
Meet Steve and Melanie Weaver and family. A very sweet family, and I enjoyed my evening with them. This year is their 20th wedding anniversary. Melanie did well in coordinating her wedding colors.
I met these two little brothers by a creek. Their mother chose the mini package, knowing her little guys won't probably last very long. Well, every minute counted. They were such little charmers!
A few weeks ago five photographers gave a photography class to twenty eight attendees. I had a lot of fun sharing tips I have learned over the years, hearing other photographers tips, and seeing the passion in others. It was a very refreshing time for myself.
Near the end of the class, we photographers had arranged a few clients to come in. This permitted the attendees to watch sessions in action, as well as, to take a few photos themselves and practice what the learned throughout the day.
Faith and Leroy were an amazing couple to do this for us. They were relaxed in front of all those folks.
Thanks, Faith and Leroy for being willing to come out for this event.
I am excited for Saturday. I will be photographing Lexi and Jolin's wedding. I will share a few photos from their engagement session, which were taken end of winter.
I was anticipating this lovely wedding! I have known Karen for several years, and so when she asked me to be their photographer, I was DELIGHTED! I knew Karen & Samuel's wedding was going to be a neat one. The lovely bouquets, the greenery throughout the ceremony and reception, beautiful dresses, Karen's adorable niece, Ana, and on and on the list could go. But WAIT!! Let me tell you, there was love in every step as Karen approached Samuel for the 'first look', tears of joy, embrace of love, and the twinkle in their eyes. Samuel just couldn't stop beaming at Karen, as they exchanged their vows. Oh it was real Beauty!!!!
It was so great to be part of your day! May your marriage be beautiful and Christ centered!
Meet Anika... dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and a very creative person . She is 14 and headed into high school. Where has time gone, she was just a little girl not that long ago.
I am introducing the new Mr. & Mrs! Words cant describe the beauty of their wedding day and the love of this young couple. The weather was being so unpredictable earlier in the week but that morning was just gorgeous. The sun streaming through the trees was so beautiful! Amanda and Bradley were so fun to capture. I loved their little glances at each other saying, "I love being next to you...forever"! So sweet!
It was such a honor to be a part of your wedding day, Bradley & Amanda. May the Lord bless your life together.
I am so glad to introduce to you, Michael & Janae. This couple is wonderful couple. The circumstances around them are not ideal, but they said God has been so faithful He will see them through. They were so happy and lovingly cared for each other. I loved the boat pictures as they read a letter to each other, the bridal party was so fun loving, and the details ever so gorgeous. Michael & Janae, you are an amazing couple! I know God will do great things in your life together. I loved working with you.
Introducing Karen & Samuel,
I am excited to be taking this wonderful couple's wedding photos in a few weeks. This pictures were taken in the freezing cold, but Karen & Samuel didn't let that keep them from having some gorgeous pictures.
She arrived! Eva Faith, one darling little girl to cherish. She has round little face and a nice complexion. Eva was welcomed by loving parents, three sisters, and three brothers. I am so happy to call her my niece.
Precious baby.cuddles.soft skin.little cries.love of a family.excited siblings.adorable nephew.
What a sweet couple, Mike & Janae! I am delighted to share a few from their winter engagement session. We had a great time chatting and of course, lots of laughter! I have known them for some time and was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding end of May.
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to stop by to read my blog post. The time has come for me to explain where God has been leading me. The last several months were filled with some HUGE decisions. I was so blessed as God gave very clear direction to where He is leading me. It was very hard to give my answer to the school board, since it was a "no" to teach another term. I loved teaching first grade at Springville Mennonite School. The school families was like my second family. To lay all familiar behind and step into the unknown looks big. But if God leads me to it; He will lead me through it!
Yes, with that all said, I am headed to the mission field. I am planning to help my brother and his family as they transition to a foreign country to do Bible translation. I will plan to also teach my niece Brooklyn, who will be ready for first grade. After David finishes up several more studies, they will be ready to move the beginning of 2021.
So what does that look like for Danelle's Photography? I am planning to continue doing sessions till mid-fall. But I will need to limit the number of sessions I take, since I plan to do some language study and a few other classes in preparations for the mission field. I will not be doing any photography the year of 2021. As my time comes to a close on the mission field, I will evaluate my circumstances and keep you informed. So stay tuned...
I have included a photo of my brother and family...
David. Rosene. Brooklyn. Jada Sensenig
Please pray has we make the transition!
Travis and Maria meet my assistant and I in a blooming peach orchard for their "first look"! The wind was rather gusty, but the warmth of the sun welcoming. Their smiles and giggles were very contagious. They were real troopers through these uncertain times. When they set their wedding date several months ago, little did they know they would be married one week earlier than planned. It was sad, Maria's sister and family couldn't be there due to borders shut between here and Canada.Their wedding was very small, and so special! The details from flower bouquets to garnishes on food were pretty! The bridal party brought lots of fun and laughter.
Love springtime! Along with warmer weather, is a new lamb! Love the lamb running after the children, so carefree!
Happy 4th Birthday, Jaron!
I am so excited to introduce to you...
Duane & Sheri
The morning dawned beautiful over the lake in New York! The air was very crisp at twenty degrees. Duane & Sheri were real troopers!! The beauty of this couple was magnified by the love they share! Their story will be one that many family and friends won't forget. A wedding two weeks early!!
Yes, Saturday they were notified that if they don't get married by Sunday, they will have to wait indefinitely till this Covid-19 pandemic is over. They chose to be married Sunday afternoon at 2pm. They were limited to only inviting 50 people. With the help of family and a few friends things came together. So many small miracles played into the picture!! God was good!!! They got married at Martin's retreat, and a small reception followed. Everybody tried to make it extra special, and it sure was!!
Crazy.Fun.
Family pictures taken in the shade of a few pine trees by the retreat.
I was delighted to get a photo with my dear nieces!
Duane & Sheri, may God bless you richly with a beautiful life together!
I met Dave & Gloria and their family at the Ephrata Township Park. It was a very gorgeous evening. I have photographed their family before and knew that we were going to have a great time. I was not mistaken at all!! Darnell even brought his truck for a few photos with it too.
Kevin & Esther are an amazing couple. We met at an indoor studio in Manhiem. It was very cold Saturday morning but we were able to do just a few photos outside. Kevin & Esther were so relaxed and easy going. I love the twinkle in their eyes, their giggles, and their love and respect for each other. The bridal party joined us a while later, along with them came the mini couple. This little boy & girl were so adorable. They seemed to enjoy the attention and didn't mind doing what we wanted them to do. Esther's friend took the remaining photos at the wedding and reception.
Meet Jay & Melanie and their adorable daughter, Addy. We met at Hotel of Hershey. It was predicting some rain later on, but it started as I was driving there. Well, that didn't ruin our session. Through the drizzle, we photographed! Addy was enjoying every moment and just did what I asked her too.. made for some very sweet moments. So I had to post quite a few...
I was delighted to be able to take pictures of Derek & Susan. It was great also because Susan is my cousin and was a co-teacher. As the day approached, the weather was being watched closely. It was constantly changing. But the day dawned cloudy with a little fog and temperatures were around thirty. The fog was not real dense and hung in the distance adding to the beauty of the winter landscape. There was such a calm but such a care and love for each other. It is so beautiful to see genuine love. The families with all their little people were real troopers. Enjoy a glimpse into Derek and Susan's wedding...
I am delighted to share with you photos of the Nolt family. I enjoy taking this families photos the last several years. I love the themes she comes up with... this year they chose a denim theme...
Meet the Burkholders
Fun.Loving.Care-Free.Relaxed.Energetic.Expressive Family
I was delight to be part of Timothy & Angela's wedding. It was a great start to kick off the 2020 weddings. I met them at Supply in Manheim. This is an old factory that is fixed up and has an all natural lighting studio. With a January wedding, we were all planning frigid cold weather. Saturday morning turned out to be mild and very calm; unlike what they were predicting! Amanda and I photographed bride and groom at a park nearby. Tim and Angie's smiles, sparkles in their eyes, and a care for each other that was so very special. The bridal party and family joined us back at Supply for the rest of the photos. The whole day was relaxed and very organized. Take a moment to enjoy the vibrant colors in the bouquets to the bride's maids dresses.
It was such a pleasure spending time with you on your special day!
The Zimmerman children gave a family photo session to their parents for a Christmas gift. This was a special event, and I was happy to be part of it! I met them at their parents place. We strolled through the neighbors meadow and took pictures by the old white barn. The white barn sure made their colors pop!! The 3 little guys did amazing and seemed to love all the attention they were getting.
I met the Wenger family at the Project. It was one of those most gorgeous evening! When Janell called to schedule a session I was so excited to photograph them again. I had a session with them a few years ago. We had a lot of fun, so I knew this time was going to be no different.
This family was a brave one for being near the end of the season when the weather is cold. I love their rich color choice! It gave a beautiful contrast to the the color tones around them. We had a lot of fun. This family was relaxed and very easy going which made it soooo enjoyable.
I hope you all enjoyed Christmas Day! I now can show some of my sessions from this fall since everyone has handed out their cards. I always like to wait because I think the client should introduce their photos on cards and not the photographer on her blog! So stop on by often in the next month since I will continue to post...
Here is three sessions for you to enjoy today... They are all extended families. I enjoy the challenge large families bring. It is like fitting a puzzle together... everyone visible in the photo and looking great!!
Richard & Joyce Nolt and Family...
Kenneth & Arlene Nolt and Family
Lawrence & Kathryn Good and Family
lots of little people...
Meet this dear family... I have known this family since my involvement at Springville Mennonite School. We met at the Ephrata Township Park. We strolled down to the grove of trees, around the pond, and in the grassy field. We had a fun leisure time together.
The Adam Sensenig Family choose to take a large family photo in front of Adam's home. It was a very warm summer day, but the children did so well.
Joel & Irene Rutt and Family... I am grateful when my assistant Amanda can help to take large group photos. It was great to spend time with your family. It was fun to look around the property... then of course, we picked the wooded area with tall grass! The children did so good!
Oh so cute... it photo with their grandchildren!
Meet Brittany... she is a fun loving person. She chose to do her session by the river. This is such a beautiful spot with the bridge in the background. I have know Brittany and of taken her family's photos over the years. I was really looking forward to taking them for her. We enjoyed the beautiful evening and as the evening was coming to a close we say a beautiful sunset.
I am so happy to say these are my nieces, (sorry so bias) but I just think they are so beautiful! Darla chose to take them at one of my favorite Lancaster County locations ~ Conestoga Home & Garden. Just a gorgeous evening and girls that love photos! Darla loves a few photos with her daughters! I think that is so special...in years to come they can look back and smile.
I love you, girls!
I know everyone loves looking at family photos. Out of respect for my clients, I will wait to post after holidays... so stay tuned!
Cassidy Brook arrived and 4 days later I got to photograph her. (I don't often do that but due to work schedule that fit best) She was another little angel! Cassidy has one big sister and oh how excited she was! Julia just wanted a few photos so it didn't take long to get some cute moments...even with siblings.
Ellie Rayne was so sweet and adorable. Her hair soft and silky, skin so smooth, hands and feet so small! Ellie did amazing! She left me switch from one pose to another very easily. Oh, I was in my glories!! Then we went to an orchard nearby and got a few of her family and siblings.
I am not in the mood for pictures...Two year olds can feel like their world is turned upside down when baby dear arrives! So we didn't push her to hard.
I was delight to photography the Barry Burkholder Family. We met one beautiful Saturday morning. Everyone was dress up and the children had adorable outfits on.. We had a great time making memories. I know how it is to a big family together is a lot of work. But it was worth it all.
My friend asked me to snap a few photos of her baby! Babies are so precious!! What a miracle!!
Thanks Heather, it was so special to capture a moment with baby dear!
Life has so many moments of uncertainty, I am thankful to be friends with this sweet family. Life has changed drastically in the last 2 years. But the beauty of them following Christ just as their father (and husband) had is so special.
Meet Keilah. She is my sixteen year old niece. She is more quiet in nature. One of her hobbies is sewing.
Brynlee is Keilah's adorable, lovable baby sister. Her smile is cute. She is six months and acts so big when she sits alone.
One sweet little girl... her mom loves details and went to a lot of work for Ambree's one year session, but it made it so cute and very personal.
I love children, but you got to admit when you photograph them you got to be quick. A moment in this peach orchard and memories for a lifetime.
I will let the photos speak for themselves...
Little Averi not so sure about sister photos...
Saturday morning, was the most lovely late summer morning. The cool breeze greeted us, as I met Jared & April on their wedding day. Jared & April, you were relaxed making the photos so priceless. Your smiles were so genuine. The love between you was so sweet. Then came the details from a balloon to flowers to bubbles.

I had a wonderful group of ladies attend my Workshop II. We started at my house and then went to the park and photographed 3 sessions. It was somewhat like the first workshop but more in depth. Thanks again to my two friends Jolene B and Jolene S.

Nieces and nephews are so sweet! Meet Gabriel from birth through one year! And his adorable siblings within the last year.
Siblings...
It is rather sad that I don't post much of my family... I think what often happens they come to my house and pick out their orders and I never put them online. So this session is one year old this month. But I love it!!! My family means the world to me... We did a large family shot and then quickly grab each individual family. The big picture was our top priority so the children were getting tired of it till we did individual families.
Stay tuned more sessions coming in the near future.
Early spring, I took Bryan and Beverly's engagement photos in at the Capitol Building in Harrisburg. The session was a lot of fun. They both were photogenic! I was so looking forward to their big day... July 27! The day was so beautiful! As the sun was rising above the horizon, they took a sweet moment to do the first look. The day went on without a glitch. I was so honored to photograph their wedding. The details were so fresh and pretty. Enjoy a few engagement and then a few on their wedding day...
Bevery and Bryan, you are an amazing couple. The smiles and the love is something to cherish for a lifetime.
The Bridal Party added so much to the day...

and now for a few details at the reception...
Meet a wonderful relaxed couple... This was Kordell & Jessica, the day of their wedding. They watched out for each other in loving ways. Their day dawn beautifully and the breeze refreshing, which was so nice for a July wedding. We took pictures at a old church in Richland, Pa.
Meet both wonderful families...
at the reception...
Thank you Kordell & Jessica for asking for me to photograph your wedding. It was an honor to be there. Blessings as you start your new life together as husband and wife.
Nathan & Hannah are an amazing couple. Their wedding day arrived. They were full of smiles when I met them at a friends house in the beautiful town of Needmore, PA. The hills and mountains surrounded us making the background to our photos so different then a lot of weddings we take. Amanda and I had a wonderful time photographing them. They were so relaxed; as you will be able to tell.
The bridal party came and with them they brought laughter and more fun.
meet their wonderful families...
The rest of the day from the ceremony to reception went off without a glitch.
Doesn't Hannah look so beautiful tucked in between her parents, ready to walk down the aisle.
Reception followed...
And then they were off!
It was a pleasure to be part of your wedding day! Blessings to you,
Hannah & Nathan
As you have seen earlier, I have offered photography classes. May 18th, was the first one. I had a wonderful group of six ladies that came out for the event. We had a great time learning. We then drove to the park, where I had 3 groups of people lined up to be there for us to practice what we have learned. We just had the most gorgeous day to practice somewhat cloudy and sun peeking through near the end.
We all posed for a quick photo before leaving the park!
Here are a few photos at my house...
And NOW for the wonderful groups of friends and family that came and allowed us all to practice on them.. Love the details they put into their sessions.
I will finish with a peek at the snack table! Thanks to my amazing friend, Jolene! She provided a delicious snack for all of us to enjoy!
I had to include a photo one of the ladies sent me.
Meet Michelle, a beautiful young lady. Michelle has a calm relaxed nature and a caring heart. I can't wait to see where God takes her in life! I met her early Friday morning. We had a great time with the morning lighting and sun! She loves to do some photography and flower arranging as well, so she came with props. Sorry, one prop you can't see till a little later! Here is only a few lovely photos...
Thanks Michelle for allowing me to photograph this moment of your life.
Meet Alexa Burkholder...
I have known her family for quite a few years. It is a pleasure to take the Burkholder Family pictures and see the children growing up. Now Alexa is a Senior at Ephrata Mennonite School. I met her in Lancaster and we strolled around catching different spots in the city.
Best wishes as you wrap up your high school years, Alexa
Yes, I was right, about lots to post! There are still many more sessions coming up from last fall.
Here is a small family of 3 adorable little girls. We took them right in their back yard. Love the grassy, weedy look. They did so great, but when they decided they were done, it was all over.
Here is another extended family...The Burkholders
Wow! What a year of rescheduling sessions due to the weather. This family did very well, and were very good at helping to keep it moving.. Then it started to rain:( but it paused enough we just finished up.
Fisher family... they bought a certificate at Weavertown School fundraiser. I was delight to see this calm, easy-going family.
You have just viewed the Fox family. We enjoyed the evening right around there house. They have a lovely place to photograph at. The children did so well. There were some really cute shots.
Coming next is the Sensenig Family! When family from out of state is around, you try to quickly grab a photo. Well all was going great till the one little guy decided to change his mind and we just couldn't side-track him. But the rest of the family handled it very well and we had a grand time.
The Martins... I looked forward to taking. I have had quite a few of their children as my students and have taking their pictures a number of times. This makes it sooo enjoyable when the children are relaxed and the session can flow smoothely...
Meet a fun loving crazy family... I laughed so much through this session. Right, laughter is the best medicine!!!
The session ended very abruptly, because a storm was approaching rapidly.
